in 1794. A lady, who is seated, is talking to her servant. The
servant is saying “The Captain says as how he is engaged
Miss”. Her mistress replies, “Was it for
this he lent me the play-perfidious false Lothario”.

in 1794. A tradesman and a gentleman are talking. The tradesman
says, “I have taken the liberty of calling again Sir
with this trifling bill for your Master”. The gentleman
replies, “Master is not at home!”

WELSH POLITNESS.
Image size 9 x 6¾. On wove paper and signed on image.
Beneath the image is scripted, an altercation between the two
gentlemen, an Englishman shooting on the Welshman’s land.
It starts with the Welshman saying, “What Right &
order & Liberty have you got to shoot & kill & Destroy
my hares and my Rabbits and my Birds & my Beasts.”
It ends with the Englishman saying, “That you have
got two Little MANNER.” £850. |
